A small number of grants will be available for students, which will be a rebate of part or all of the Conference Fee. There are also prizes for the best student oral and poster presentations. Decisions for awards will be made during the Conference.

The Challenger Society for Marine Science has kindly agreed to consider students' applications for travel awards (the usual condition of CSMS membership is not required for PECS 2008). Please see the Challenger Society's web site for details.

Students may be eligible for travel grants under the Young Professional Exchange Program, part of the European Encora Project.

Further financial support for students is currently being sought. Please watch this space for more information.
